Hi, I’m Micah Byler. I am an Emmy award-winning commercial director, cinematographer, filmmaker, and producer based in Richmond, Virginia.
My professional journey spans a wide array of visual storytelling, including crafting engaging TV commercials, dynamic social media video marketing, insightful documentaries, compelling web series, and emotive short films. This diverse experience not only reflects my versatility but also my ability to connect with audiences across various platforms and genres.
My love for cinema was ignited at a young age with a Jurassic Park VHS, and since then, my passion has only grown. I started with creating short films, sketches, and vlogs, capturing life's moments with friends and family. This passion for storytelling and visual creativity steered me towards an extensive freelance career in video production, beginning in 2010. Along this journey, I've had the privilege of working at a variety of TV stations, experiences that have been instrumental in refining my skills and shaping my professional identity. These diverse opportunities laid the foundation for me to eventually establish my own company, where I continue to channel my expertise and vision into every project. Here, I thrive on directing creative commercial content, transforming ideas from scripts into effective marketing.
I efficiently turn ideas into action. I am detail oriented and methodical, engaging problems head on with a practical approach. Working with me guarantees a partnership with someone who is as collaborative, determined, and passionate about your project as you are.
When I am not behind the camera, my life is equally adventurous and fulfilling. I am now not only a husband but also a father, embracing the joys and learning experiences that come with parenthood. Whether I'm exploring new places with my wife and daughter, staying active through lifting and running, or savoring a good whiskey, I find balance in these moments. If we ever meet, ask me what my favorite movie is. I can never pick just one, but I will have a short list prepared.
